New Sustainability Initiative
North Hennepin has launched a new sustainability initiative, and we held an event on Earth Week to publicize our efforts in conjunction with Will Steger’s keynote. You can watch a video and learn more. And you can watch me sign my name over and over again at a press event.

NHCC Gala Success!
Thanks to all those who worked so hard, we had a wonderfully successful fundraiser Gala early this month, not only meeting but exceeding our fundraising goals–a remark fact in the face of the financial realities these days. In spite of pay freezes, employees gave more than ever earlier this year to raise money for scholarships, and now at our major fundraiser event we raised 30% more than the previous year. Why? Because we are inspired by our students. You can be inspired, too…check out the video we showed at the Gala.

NHCC Faculty to Attend White House Summit
Brooklyn Park, MN – North Hennepin Community College Chemistry Faculty, Dr. Eugenia Paulus has been invited by Dr. Jill Biden to the first-ever White House Summit on Community Colleges on October 5 in Washington, DC. Dr. Paulus is one of only 100 community college faculty, administrators and students from across the country asked to attend. Full press release here
